Reference Electrodes

Selecting the ideal reference electrode chemistry and form factor for a given electrochemical system can be an important decision. Princeton Applied Research and Solartron Analytical offer a variety of options ranging from the popular Saturated Calomel Reference Electrode, or SCE, for aqueous systems to a Ag/AgNO3 reference electrode for use in organic solvents. Reference-Electrode G0093 Mercury-Mercurous Sulfate Reference Electrode

This reference electrode is identical in physical configuration to the K0077 reference electrode except that the G0093 contains a mercury-mercurous sulfate inner element immersed in a saturated potassium sulfate solution. The electrode is employed in situations in which the use of the saturated calomel electrode would be unsatisfactory, for example, chloride analysis, silver analysis, etc.

219811 Mercury-Mercury Oxide Reference Electrode

For use with the K0264 Micro-Cell Kit. All plastic (PTFE/PP) configuration consisting of 4.24M potassium hydroxide solution. This electrode is ideal for alkali or fluoride media and is suitable for battery, energy, and electrochemical applications.

Reference-Electrode-Tube-Assembly K0103 Non-Aqueous Reference Electrode

Incorporates a 14/20 standard taper joint for use with the K0065 reference electrode bridge tube. Inner element (not shown) is a silver wire immersed in Acetonitrile containing 0.1 M AgNO3. This electrode is employed in applications involving non-aqueous supporting electrolytes such as Benzene-Methanol, Acetonitrile and DMF.
